2023-2024
Our School
We are a kindergarten through 12th grade, fully accredited private school. We are not faith based and welcome students from all faiths and cultures. We pride ourselves so much on being a haven where everyone is welcome that we renamed our school to The Haven Academy.
COGNIA and GAC are the accreditation agencies we use. Cognia is the same agency local school districts use for their accreditation and formerly known as SACS. Our credits transfer easily to local schools.
We also offer NCAA approved courses and curriculum for student athletes.
We offer a full time private school, a 2 day hybrid homeschool program, and a Friday enrichment program that includes musical theater.
Registration Datesfor the 2023-2024 school year
Returning families may officially register for fall 2023 on Jan 9. New families may apply on Jan 15. We will review applications on a first come, first served basis. We will approve registrations ongoing until classes are filled. We will create a wait list once classes are full.

If new families register before the 15th, they will be reviewed in order that they were received AFTER current families have had a chance to register. Returning families may register at any time but we encourage early registration to ensure a spot. We do expect to have wait lists and to be full for the 2023 school year in all grades.
School Location
We are building a new school on Union Hill in Canton, not far from Avery Elementary School. This is scheduled to be complete during the summer of 2023 and therefore ready for the new school year. We have 5 acres with plenty of space for students to enjoy the outdoors as well as a much larger interior space. We will announce more details as we are able to do so- follow us on Facebook for the most up to date announcements.

We currently open at 8:30am and classes begin at 9am Monday- Friday. We currently close at 4:15pm Monday- Thursday and 2:30 on Fridays. These hours are subject to change if we decide to have extended drop off and pick up times for families.
Scholarships
We accept The GOAL scholarship. This application is posted below as a document. You can read about this scholarship online at www.Goalscholarship.org . The deadline to apply for this scholarship is Feb 15, 2023. An application for our school is due at the same time or prior to the GOAL scholarship application. We will notify recipients no later than March 15, 2023. Parents may email documents to Leanne@thehavenacademy.com or drop off/ mail applications as well at our school.
We accept SB-10 funds. If your child has an IEP or 504, they may qualify for these state funds to be used for private school tuition. Please see this website for more information and contact the Ga Special Needs Scholarship Program for questions regarding eligibility. https://www.gadoe.org/External-Affairs-and-Policy/Policy/Pages/Special-Needs-Scholarship-Program.aspx Please note that we must review all student files and chat with the student and parent prior to accepting students with special needs as we need ensure that we are appropriate placement for all students coming into our school. We are able to accept some students with mild modification and accommodation needs but want to be sure we are the best fit and can give every student at our school what they need and deserve educationally.
We offer 5% discount on tuition to the third child or more child from the same household/family.
We offer a 5% discount on tuition for military and emergency personnel parents.

High school students can send in their transcripts and in progress classes for class placement to transcripts@thehavenacademy.com . We recommend doing this as early as possible for class placement and selection. IEP and 504 plans can also be sent to this email for appropriate placement review prior to registration

We have purchased 5 acres on Union Hill in Canton between east Cherokee and 20 and are building a larger school. We will open in our new location summer of 2023.
