Building Updates

*We are building our new campus on 5 acres on Union Hill Road in Canton. We purchased this piece of land in the spring on 2022 with the advice of one of our builders, Shawn Woodall. This location is close to Avery Elementary school. We were scheduled to open June of 2023 and were told in the spring of 2023 that we would be delayed on this date but we would still open by August 1 which is the first day of school. 

We were updated at the end of May that we will be late but it was a 92 day project and counting it out put us in August. Our very worst case scenario ever casually mentioned was September. 

On June 7, 2023, we were told that our inside date of move in is October and outside is December.  

We are delayed and will remain at our current location until we are able to open. See below for updates. We update as we get info from our builder and since we are educators and not builders, this is the only information we have to go on. ;)

As all new construction projects have challenges, we are not exempt. We purchased the land at the beginning of 2022 and hired a builder at the same time to assist in land selection. It has been a nonstop project since that time with an expected opening of June 30, 2023. However, due to concerns over environmental and traffic issues, we have had delays in getting started on site. 

We have been advised that these issues have been resolved and work will start in the coming days. We are also told that it is a pretty quick project at approx 90 days and the first half is land and building raising. Once the building is erected, we have been told that round the clock construction can take place for much it inside the structure.

This means our new projected move in date is being moved to Sept, 2023. 

We are very hopeful that it is at the start of the month but it will depend on weather for the most part, it sounds. 

We have extended our current building lease and will move to the new location as soon as we can. 

The new building is being outfitted with new furnishings so this will help us when we do move because we will only have to move what we are using at the current school for the first several week of school along with our chairs. We will be able to put the new school classrooms together prior to the move as well. Once we get the green light to have classes there, we will make the change.
