We accept students year round, space permitting.

At the Haven Academy, elementary students learn in a supportive, engaging environment where strong academics are balanced with creativity, movement, exploration, and hands on learning.
Our elementary program serves families looking for a secular private school in Cherokee County, Ga and surrounding areas, with low student to teacher/para ratios and a school day designed to help students stay engaged, build confidence, and develop a strong academic foundation.
Students receive instruction in core subjects including language arts, math, science, and social studies, along with music, art, PE, Spanish, and hands on STEM experiences.
The Haven academy offers full time, hybrid and enrichment options only, giving families greater flexibility while maintaining the structure, instruction, and community of an award winning accredited private school.
Limited openings are available in select grades for the 2026-2027 school year.

Strong Core Academics
Students receive daily instruction in language arts, math, science, and social studies using a structured academic curriculum that follows national standards and supplemental instruction materials are used to ensure all Georgia standards are met in each course.
Orton-Gillingham Reading Instruction
Our elementary literacy program incorporates Orton Gillingham based instruction to strengthen phonics, decoding, spelling, fluency, and foundational literacy skills.
Low Student To Teacher Ratios
Our classroom structure allows teachers to know their students well and provide more individualized attention than is typically possible in a large classroom. Our elementary classrooms have a dedicated paraprofessional teacher to assist in ensuring the needs of all students are met whether they are slightly behind, on level, or advanced learners.
Arts, Movement, & Enrichment
Elementary students participate in daily recess and PE, weekly music and a variety of other class experiences like Art, Spanish, and project building. STEM is incorporated in all subjects throughout the day without adding screen time as this is something we try to leave for parents to choose to use at home.
Full Time Program
Students attend their regular academic classes Monday through Thursday, with Friday opportunities available for additional enrichment and fun!
Hybrid Program
Families may choose a two day school schedule while maintaining access to Haven teachers, curriculum, community, and academic structure. Fridays are an optional additional third day where students can attend more enrichment classes.

Science with at least one lab based activity each week.
Social Studies with engaging activities to learn about our world.
Music weekly with a teacher who has a degree specifically for teaching music to students.
Physical Education daily with a teacher who has many years experience in teaching PE in Cherokee County schools.
STEM education incorporated into each subject area. The Haven Academy is working on getting STEM certified by Cognia during the 2026-2027 school year and makes this a priority without adding screentime for students.
Fine Motor Skills for kinder-2nd grade and cursive handwriting for 3rd-5th grade.
All students get Art and Spanish each semester.
Safety is a Priority
We take student safety seriously. The Haven Academy has an onsite Cherokee County Sherriff's Officer during the school day, secure electronic access to the building, and AI assisted camara system covering the school grounds inside and outside, and emergency alert possibilities for teachers in the classrooms.
Visitors are required to check into the office before entering student areas and all volunteers are professionally screened for child safety.
Haven Academy staff members undergo LiveScan background checks and extensive training on student safety, first aid/AED/LifeVac Choking, and Homeland Security Safety. Elementary students need more than a desk and a stack of assignments, They need teachers who know them, opportunities to move and create, appropriate academic challenges, and a social environment where they can feel comfortable being themselves.
Flexibility for Real Life
We know that not every student's life fits neatly into a traditional school schedule. Haven works with families who have students who may need to miss school for travel, medical needs, competitive athletics, acting, music, or other professional and extracurricular commitments.
Each week, teachers post assignments and lesson plans online in our parent teacher portal so parents and students can clearly see what is being taught, what work is d ue, and what needs to be completed while students are away.
This structure helps students stay connected to their classes and keep up academically
Balanced Instruction
At Haven, we intentionally balance academic instruction with hands on learning, enrichment, creativity, and opportunities for students to interact with their classmates throughout the day.
Our goal is to provide a strong academic foundation without losing the curiosity and enthusiasm that should be a part of elementary school.
A School That Feels Like a Haven
We believe students learn best when they feel known, supported, and safe being themselves. Our teachers build genuine relationships with students and work hard to create classrooms where kindness, respect, and belonging are the expectation.
We also take our responsibility to protect that environment seriously. Bullyinh, repeated disruptive behavior and conduct that interferes with the safety or learning of others are not treated as a normal part of growing up or simply overlooked.
our admissions process and behavior expectations are designed to help us maintain the positive school culture our families value. We want Haven to remain exactly what its name promises- a place where students can come to school, feel comfortable, and focus on learning.
